Hello ☺️ I’m Beatriz (or B), a Montessori educator specializing in the 0-3 age range. I’m an experienced edu-carer, a self-proclaimed baby-whisperer and serious child development nerd. I’m currently based in Porto, Portugal.

I am certified as an AMI 0-3 guide by The Montessori Institute of Valencia. With this training, I learned how to best support the needs of families and children from the prenatal period to 3 years of age, and had an amazing experience observing and practicing at a bilingual Montessori school in Amsterdam.

During and prior to my training, I was a babysitter and nanny (for around 10 years!), and have always found myself surrounded by young children and their parents. To me, education starts at birth, and it’s clear that we need to create more child-and-parent-inclusive spaces in our communities, with professional educators and parents working together.

Discovering Montessori parent-child playgroups in Amsterdam and Berlin led me to get training in this practice with Pamela Green from Ananda Montessori, and to start my own playgroup classes in Porto, which I hope to continue!

Since early 2023 I’ve also worked directly with families through 1-on-1 parent guidance calls (in-depth sessions providing information and support), and my new text support service (the busy parent special, for those that need quick Q&As and resources). I’ve also been developing materials for home use, in-person workshops and webinars for parents and other early childcare professionals.
